Tem\u00adpo\u00adrary walls were installed in the vast emp\u00adty hangars, which saw over 32,000 peo\u00adple come and go over the course of a few years\u2014a good third of them chil\u00addren. The lock\u00aders that stand here date from that time. The res\u00adi\u00addents, who lived here for up to twen\u00adty-sev\u00aden months, used them to keep valu\u00adable things, sou\u00advenirs, and mem\u00ado\u00adries out of the not very pri\u00advate, over\u00adcrowd\u00aded, and noisy facil\u00adi\u00adties.
