We peer into a pit dug deep into the ground. In the mid\u00addle: a last iso\u00adlat\u00aded house on a mas\u00adsive clump of earth. Nail hous\u00ades, that\u2019s what these structures\u2014left in appar\u00adent wastelands\u2014are called. For Ahmet \u00d6\u011f\u00fct, these hous\u00ades are \u00bbexpres\u00adsions of indi\u00advid\u00adual every\u00adday resis\u00adtance against strate\u00adgies of state or cor\u00adpo\u00adrate con\u00adstraint.\u00ab They are rem\u00adnants of hasty urban\u00adiza\u00adtion process\u00ades and, at the same time, speak of dis\u00adplace\u00adment. \u00d6\u011f\u00fct\u2019s mod\u00adel rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtions of the nail hous\u00ades record this state of things as a warn\u00ading. And so, resis\u00adtance to the relent\u00adless glob\u00adal real estate indus\u00adtry and spec\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtive land devel\u00adop\u00adment is made vis\u00adi\u00adble in the long term and thus nego\u00adtiable for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
