Greenfort\u2019s paint\u00adings tell sto\u00adries of the fox: how it creeps through the city, across waste\u00adlands and through back\u00adyards. He looks cau\u00adtious, but also sovereign\u2014because the prox\u00adim\u00adi\u00adty between fox (or oth\u00ader wild ani\u00admals) and humans has long been no longer a pecu\u00adliar\u00adi\u00adty, even in dense\u00adly built-up and inhab\u00adit\u00aded cities. But the pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adph\u00ader does not only make the fox and its con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary habi\u00adtats vis\u00adi\u00adble with his works. Green\u00adfort also illu\u00admi\u00adnates larg\u00ader ques\u00adtions of ecol\u00ado\u00adgy, of the con\u00adnec\u00adtions between eco\u00adnom\u00adic, social and cul\u00adtur\u00adal phe\u00adnom\u00ade\u00adna. And so the images of the fox in the city speak not only of coex\u00adis\u00adtence, but also of an adap\u00adta\u00adtion of the fox\u2019s habi\u00adtat, made nec\u00ades\u00adsary by the destruc\u00adtion of or dis\u00adplace\u00adment from oth\u00ader habi\u00adtats due to mas\u00adsive human inter\u00adven\u00adtion. The diver\u00adsi\u00adty of species in urban agglom\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions is even greater than in the areas sur\u00adround\u00ading them. The pho\u00adto\u00adgraph\u00adic series by artist Tue Green\u00adfort pro\u00adpels this coex\u00adis\u00adtence of human and fox into plain sight. He points out that the abun\u00addant and grow\u00ading diver\u00adsi\u00adty of ani\u00admal life in cities con\u00adfronts us with new challenges\u2014because not every\u00adone is hap\u00adpy about this cohab\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion. As a result, plan\u00adning faces sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant chal\u00adlenges. It must not only take increas\u00ading and more com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive care of the diverse needs and desires of dif\u00adfer\u00adent peo\u00adple but also those crea\u00adtures with no voic\u00ades of their own in urban devel\u00adop\u00adment processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
