Casa do Vapor, Lis\u00adbon (2013). Togeth\u00ader with many local col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtors, the inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary col\u00adlec\u00adtive Con\u00adstruct\u00adLab built and used this build\u00ading on the south side of the Tejo, which was simul\u00adta\u00adne\u00adous\u00adly an open-air class\u00adroom, pub\u00adlic library, kitchen, bicy\u00adcle repair shop, skate ramp and play\u00adground, and a piz\u00adza oven. It was built with recy\u00adcled wood from anoth\u00ader project and was sim\u00adple enough for chil\u00addren to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate as well as adults. Even though the tem\u00adpo\u00adrary struc\u00adture had to be dis\u00adman\u00adtled at the end of the sum\u00admer, the social links and bonds that had been formed over the short peri\u00adod are still evi\u00addent today. \u00a9 Alexan\u00adder R\u00f6mer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The works of con\u00adstruct\u00adLab unfold in the cos\u00admos between imag\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion and life. But the focus of the collective\u2019s work is not on cre\u00adat\u00ading fixed and unal\u00adter\u00adable facts. Instead, they active\u00adly seek ways to give form to the desires and hopes expressed in appro\u00adpri\u00ada\u00adtions. The Baukiosk takes on the role of a sym\u00adbol in this con\u00adtext. As a com\u00adplex struc\u00adture, it embod\u00adies a par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar form of city-mak\u00ading that combines\u2014or delib\u00ader\u00adate\u00adly collides\u2014differing inter\u00adests with dif\u00adfer\u00adent oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties. Thus, the kiosk is a meet\u00ading place as well as a col\u00adlec\u00adtion point. Ana\u00adlog bill\u00adboard and dig\u00adi\u00adtal dis\u00adplay. Infor\u00adma\u00adtion sys\u00adtem and rest\u00ading point. It is always many things and every\u00adthing at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
