The inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary col\u00adlec\u00adtive Bel\u00adla\u00ads\u00adtock address\u00ades this and oth\u00ader major prob\u00adlems in the con\u00adstruc\u00adtion indus\u00adtry. La Fab\u00adrique du Clos in Stains, a small town in the north-east of Paris, was used to store mate\u00adri\u00adals from the demo\u00adli\u00adtion of res\u00adi\u00adden\u00adtial tow\u00aders. Yet the yard also became a meet\u00ading place and stage for the neighborhood\u2019s res\u00adi\u00addents. There were dis\u00adcus\u00adsions: about future urban spaces, how and by whom and with what they will be designed. These activ\u00adi\u00adties result\u00aded in pro\u00adto\u00adtypes for sheds, plant\u00adi\u00adng beds, arbors, street pave\u00adment, play\u00adground equip\u00adment, bench\u00ades, pavil\u00adions, and much more. They show how small-scale alter\u00adna\u00adtives can chal\u00adlenge estab\u00adlished systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
