Berlin-Tem\u00adpel\u00adhof Air\u00adport build\u00ading: 312,000 square meters of total floor space. Con\u00adcret\u00aded apron: 236,000 square meters. Tem\u00adpel\u00adhof Field: a vast 355 hectares. For twelve years, flight oper\u00ada\u00adtions have been sus\u00adpend\u00aded. Since 2009 the build\u00adings, includ\u00ading the air\u00adfield, have been owned by the State of Berlin. In the inter\u00adven\u00ading years: dis\u00adcus\u00adsions and process\u00ades about what to do with this mas\u00adsive area. The col\u00adlec\u00adtive, which has been work\u00ading from the for\u00admer gate\u00adhouse of the air\u00adport since 2018, joins many oth\u00aders with the demand that what\u00adev\u00ader trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion hap\u00adpens, it must be for the com\u00admon good\u2014fit for our children\u2019s chil\u00addren. This means: Mak\u00ading the city of the future and devel\u00adop\u00ading new imag\u00adi\u00adnar\u00adies demand plan\u00adning with care for humans and non-humans, but also with respect for this planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ini\u00adtia\u00adtors of the project orga\u00adnize work\u00adshops that deal with the diverse sto\u00adries of the neigh\u00adbor\u00adhood and the air\u00adport and at the same time crit\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly com\u00adment on the design of the city.
