The urban land\u00adscape of the cos\u00admopoli\u00adtan city devel\u00adops from about 150 hous\u00ades, which were built by fugi\u00adtives togeth\u00ader with the Berlin asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion Schle\u00adsis\u00adche 27 and oth\u00ader orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions. \u00a9 Aris Kress<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

That the hous\u00ades assem\u00adbled here seem to be thrown togeth\u00ader is because the indi\u00advid\u00adual build\u00adings, as they stand there, do not nec\u00ades\u00adsar\u00adi\u00adly exist as built struc\u00adtures. They are mem\u00ado\u00adries mixed with visions of one\u2019s future four walls. Built by refugees from Iran, Syr\u00adia, Moroc\u00adco, and Pak\u00adistan, World City, as the project is called, was cre\u00adat\u00aded togeth\u00ader with Berlin-based asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion Schlesische27 and oth\u00ader orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions. This glob\u00adal city of a dif\u00adfer\u00adent kind is both spec\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion and dream: about a future with\u00adout bor\u00adders, the city as a process of dia\u00adlogue and its polypho\u00adny, of which there\u2019s still too lit\u00adtle to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
