Platzpro\u00adjekt is part of the port\u00adfo\u00adlio of places with which the cul\u00adtur\u00adal office of the city admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion of Hanover is com\u00adpet\u00ading as a can\u00addi\u00addate for the Euro\u00adpean Cap\u00adi\u00adtal of Cul\u00adture 2025.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

About six\u00adteen years ago, two skaters found a plot of fal\u00adlow land in Hanover-Linden\u2019s indus\u00adtri\u00adal area. They start to clean up and build a small skate park. In 2009, they form an asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion, nego\u00adti\u00adate an inter\u00adim use con\u00adtract with the own\u00ader togeth\u00ader with the city council\u2019s sup\u00adport, and reach a lease agree\u00adment for one euro per year, which is still valid today. In 2013, anoth\u00ader asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion is cre\u00adat\u00aded: Platzpro\u00adjekt aims to cre\u00adate a space for ini\u00adtia\u00adtives, a place for self-help, for mutu\u00adal sup\u00adport offer\u00ading knowl\u00adedge, tools, and crafts\u00adman\u00adship. Research funds and state sub\u00adsi\u00addies enable the estab\u00adlish\u00adment of long-term par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpa\u00adtion struc\u00adtures for young peo\u00adple who want to dis\u00adcuss their cities in self-orga\u00adnized spaces and active\u00adly shape them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
