DESCRIPTION:Mit anschließen­der Vor­führung des Kurz­films I WONDER AS I WANDER (2019–2020) von Eme­ka Okereke über Akin­bode Akin­bey.Der in Berlin lebende nige­ri­an­is­che Fotograf Akin­bode Akin­biyi hält in seinen Arbeit­en unter anderem in Städten wie Lagos\, Berlin\, Johan­nes­burg\, Bamako und Chica­go das men­schliche Zusam­men­leben fest. Akin­bode Akin­biyis Samm­lung von Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografien zeigt eine Welt häu­fig überse­hen­er Nar­ra­tive\, Gesten und Glaubensvorstel­lun­gen inmit­ten von laut­en Straßen\, Küsten­lin­ien und dicht besiedel­ten Vierteln. Das Umher­wan­dern ist für Akin­biyi dabei zen­trales Instru­ment\, um soziale Real­itäten zu doku­men­tieren und die Psy­cho­geografie städtis­ch­er Umfelder zu erforschen.Eme­ka Okereke ist ein nige­ri­an­is­ch­er bilden­der Kün­stler und Schrift­steller\, der in Lagos und Berlin lebt und arbeit­et und recht häu­fig vom einen zum anderen Ort pen­delt. For Akin­biyi\, wan­der­ing is a cen­tral tool for doc­u­ment­ing social real­i­ties and the psy­cho­geog­ra­phy of urban envi­ron­ments.Eme­ka Okereke is a Niger­ian visu­al artist and writer who lives and works between Lagos and Berlin\, fre­quent­ly mov­ing between one and the oth­er.
