Dr. Michelle Provoost is an archi­tec­tur­al his­to­ri­an spe­cial­ized in urban plan­ning his­to­ry, post­war archi­tec­ture, and con­tem­po­rary urban devel­op­ment. She co-found­ed the office of Crim­son Archi­tec­tur­al His­to­ri­ans in 1994, which has sub­se­quent­ly been engaged in a large num­ber of research and design projects in the fields of urban plan­ning, archi­tec­ture, and art. Since 2008, Dr. Provoost has served as Direc­tor of the Inter­na­tion­al New Town Insti­tute (INTI) in Almere, the Nether­lands. Dr. Provoost teach­es at var­i­ous uni­ver­si­ties in the Nether­lands and abroad and con­tin­ues to be in great demand as a pub­lic speak­er. She reg­u­lar­ly lec­tures through­out Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Unit­ed States, and has been involved in many munic­i­pal, nation­al, and pri­vate com­mit­tees and juries.

Dr. Bonaven­ture Soh Bejeng Ndikung was born in 1977 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and is an inde­pen­dent art cura­tor and biotech­nol­o­gist. He has been liv­ing on and off in Berlin since 1997, where he stud­ied Food Biotech­nol­o­gy in the Uni­ver­si­ty of Tech­nol­o­gy Berlin, did a doc­tor­ate in Med­ical Biotech­nol­o­gy in the Hein­rich Heine Uni­ver­si­ty Dusseldorf/TU Berlin and a post-doc­tor­ate in Bio­physics in Mont­pel­li­er. He is the founder and artis­tic direc­tor of the non-prof­it art space SAVVY Con­tem­po­rary Berlin—a lab­o­ra­to­ry for con­cep­tu­al, intel­lec­tu­al, artis­tic pro­duc­tion and exchange that takes up the chal­lenge of inves­ti­gat­ing the »thresh­old« between, as well as crit­i­cal­ly reflect­ing on and ques­tion­ing dis­cours­es around the »West« and the »non-West.«
