Ahmet Öğüt, a conceptual artist from Turkey, works in a wide range of media, including photography, video, and installation to address topics such as cultural identities and political ideologies. He often uses humor and loose narrative structures to offer his commentary on rather serious and pressing social and political issues. In 2009, he represented Turkey in the Pavilion of Turkey at the 53rd Venice Biennale.

Philipp Misselwitz is an architect and urban researcher. Since 2013, he has been a university professor at the TU Berlin’s Habitat Unit–Department of International Urbanism and Design. He studied at Cambridge University and the Architectural Association in London. As a consultant for the GIZ and UN organizations and as part of his doctorate, he has been working on urbanization processes in refugee camps since 2005 and has developed participatory planning strategies to involve the refugees in improving their living conditions. He is a shareholder of Urban Catalyst GmbH and a visiting professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
